The City of Conway is accepting applications for a Downtown Parking Enforcement Officer position working within the City of Conway Administration Department. This position will be responsible for parking enforcement of downtown city streets and parking lots, interactions with the public and beautification of the downtown area.

Requirements:

• Enforce parking ordinances and/or state laws by citation or written warning in the downtown Conway area.
• Assist the Downtown Partnership and Chamber of Commerce as needed with special projects for Downtown Conway
• Respond to and handle parking issues and complaints.
• Prepare for and testify in court on parking related issues.
• Assist other city departments, public agencies, or local law enforcement agencies as necessary.
• Report issues within the downtown area including but not limited to graffiti, traffic signals, signs, damage items, overgrown areas, flowers, etc.
• Establish rapport with area businesses to facilitate a good channel of communication between the city business owners and employees.
• Become knowledgeable of city streets and parking areas, state laws and city ordinances pertaining to parking and traffic-related offenses.
• Assignments to special detail when needed.
• Assist with special events at Simon Park, Rogers Plaza, or MLK Square.
• Must have and maintain a valid Arkansas Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to work variable shifts, evenings & weekends.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
