Urban Watershed Framework Plan for Conway

On July 12, 2016, The City of Conway will hold a Public Hearing at the City Council meeting at 6:30pm to discuss an Urban Watershed Framework Plan for the City. This plan, developed by the University of Arkansas Community Design Center, in partnership with the University of Arkansas Office of Sustainability, Arkansas Natural Resource Commission and MetroPlan was funded by grant proceeds from the US Environmental Protection Agency. In Development since 2012, the plan was a regional and local led effort to develop Low Impact Strategies for sustainable development to improve the Cities Storm Water runoff and green infrastructure.

The plan has received an award from the Central States chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for 2016 in the Planning and Analysis category, and was chosen to be Exhibited at the International Architectural Exhibition this Summer in Venice, Italy at the Giardini, the Arsenale.
