The special 3/8 cent sales tax for street improvements passed by voters in 2017 sunset on April 1st. The cumulative sales tax rate in Conway is now 8.75%.
The Planning Department is responsible for current and long-range planning efforts and supporting the various planning related boards and commissions. These responsibilities include providing zoning information, site plan development review, subdivision review, comprehensive planning, small area studies, corridor studies, long-term visioning reports and activities, and providing staff support to the Planning Commission, Historic District Commission, Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Board, and Tree Board.
As of June 1, 2021 the Planning & Development and Building Permits & Inspections Departments transitioned to a new software portal for planning and subdivision review applications. To submit an application please use the following link. APPLY ONLINE

The department provides Geographic Information Services (GIS) to the general public, other city departments, and Faulkner County, and creates and administers all city street addresses and coordinates with 911 services.
