The City of Conway Community Center is accepting applications for a Maintenance Manager. This position performs a wide variety of duties related to maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the Conway Community Center.
The Maintenance Manager performs a wide variety of duties related to maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the Conway Community Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all custodial and maintenance activities at the Community Center
- Work in cooperation with the Aquatics Manager to perform routine water testing of all pools to ensure safe and healthy water quality consistent with state and local regulations
- Work in cooperation with the Aquatics Manager to procure all necessary pool chemicals
- Oversee the procurement of all janitorial and other related supplies for the Community Center
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of pools, HVAC, and other mechanical systems at the Community Center
- Perform maintenance and repairs on all needed equipment and hardware at the Community Center
- Report all safety and maintenance-related concerns immediately to the Community Center Director
- Schedule and oversee maintenance-related contractors at the request of the Director
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Aquatics Manager to ensure the Community Center is set up, broken down, and thoroughly cleaned for reservations, swim meets, special events, tournaments, and other events
- Maintain an updated MSDS book for all applicable chemicals at the Conway Community Center
- Work alongside other managers to train and enforce safety procedures at the Community Center
- Assist in the preparation of the Community Center’s annual budget
- Respond to safety or maintenance-related issues during nights and weekends as required
- Maintain a valid Arkansas Driver’s License
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree and/or four years of aquatics maintenance experience. Twelve to eighteen months of management experience preferred. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.
