Landfill Operations

The Department of Sanitation operates a Class 1 municipal solid waste landfill facility. Per Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment regulation, the city landfill may accept general household waste, non-hazardous commercial waste, and non-hazardous industrial waste in accordance with permit requirements.

Resident Access

City of Conway residents may bring general household garbage to the city landfill at no additional charge. This Quick Guide to Household Waste Disposal is an easy reference. Liquids are not accepted.

  • Some specialty items, such as appliances and electronic waste, require a nominal disposal fee. This fee allows the landfill to dispose of the item properly, per state and federal guidelines.
  • To ensure accurate rates, we verify all addresses. Your printed Conway Corp bill or an electronic copy on the Conway Corp app (iPhone/Android) AND your matching government-issued I.D. are required.
  • Cash, Check, Visa, and MasterCard are accepted.

The city landfill is open to greater Faulkner County residents. Additional charges do apply.


Commercial Access

City of Conway businesses may bring general garbage to the city landfill. For all weight up to 1,999-pounds, a base rate of $30.00 plus tax will be applicable. For heavier weights, charges will reflect the base rate plus proration. Liquids are not accepted.

  • Specialty items and large quantities will require additional disposal fees. These fees allow the landfill to dispose of the items properly, per state and federal guidelines.
  • To ensure accurate rates, we will verify all accounts. Your government-issued I.D. and business address are required. A work order is recommended.
  • Cash, Check, Visa, and MasterCard are accepted.
  • Commercial waste haulers are accepted Monday-Friday only.

The city landfill is open to greater Faulkner County businesses. Additional charges do apply.
