Conway seeks to fill vacancy on Advertising & Promotion Commission

The City of Conway seeks to fill one vacancy on the Advertising & Promotion Commission. This position is a member at large with a four year term. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 17th, 2024.

The Conway Advertising and Promotion Commission is responsible for collecting the 2% taxes on hotels and motel accommodations and the 2 % tax on prepared food and beverage "hamburger tax" on business within the City of Conway.

The commission facilitates tourism and the promotion of the City and determines the use of the advertising and promotion funds. It typically meets on the second Monday of each month at 2:30 p.m. at the Conway Municipal Building, located at 1111 Main Street, Conway, AR.

Interested Individuals must live within the city limits of Conway and be willing to attend all meetings. Nominations for all boards must be completed through the boards and commissions portal found at www.conwayarkansas.gov/boards/.
