The City of Conway acquired the old fairground property on Robins Street from the YBMA (Young Business Men’s Association) in 2006.  This area had been home to the annual Faulkner County Fair since 1946, but now the land was scheduled to become the city’s new youth baseball complex.

In 2008, the city purchased 40 acres of the former Doc and Pete Hart farm along East Oak Street to build a new fairground.  The Faulkner County Fair was first held at this new site in east Conway in 2010. 

In 2017, the Event Center was completed.
