City of Conway Invites Public Input on Development Review Regulation Updates
After months of work, including four productive meetings with the Conway Compass Advisory Committee, the City of Conway Planning Staff is ready to present proposed updates to the Development Review regulations and hear directly from the community.
The in-person public information meeting will be held on Thursday, September 4, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 1111 Main Street. Planning staff will outline proposed updates and invite feedback from residents, business owners, and stakeholders.
Some of the elements being proposed for adjustment include:
Building materials and design for commercial development
Parking minimums and maximums
Vehicular and pedestrian circulation through developments
Processes and procedures
- Landscaping
Further opportunities for public input:
Planning Commission informational meeting (tentatively September 15). This will not be an action item for the meeting, just informational.
City Council informational meeting (tentatively September 23).
Planning Commission hear and potentially make recommendation on amendment to Zoning Code (late fall).
City Council adopt ordinance amending Zoning Code (late fall).
