Tree Board and Public Art Board Openings

Nominations for all boards must be in writing on the nomination form. Nominations will be accepted from the individual interested in serving or from another person wishing to nominate the individual. All interested parties must reside within the city limits of Conway or the Conway territorial Jurisdiction & be willing to attend all meetings.

Anyone who is interested in being a part of the local boards/commissions may submit the nomination form by email to Felicia.Rogers@conwayarkansas.gov or Denise.Hurd@conwayarkansas.gov or at the drop box located at the Conway Municipal Building (1111 Main Street).

Nominations will be taken until the positions are filled


The City of Conway has the following positions available for local boards/commissions:

Conway Tree Board
2 available positions for Member at Large / 3 year term

The Conway Tree was created to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of Conway, to protect the health and safety of the residents of Conway, and to protect the environment by providing the development of a Community Forest Management Plan for the regulation of the planting, maintenance, removal, and protection of trees on public property within the City of Conway. This board usually meets on the first Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Faulkner County Extension Office.

Public Art Board
1 available position for an Art Professional / 1 year term

The Public Art Board has one art professional position on the board for a one year term for an art professional position. The nominee would be serving the remainder of a term would be eligible to receive a full four year term after serving the initial term. The available position is for an art professional . The Public Art Board was created to ensure the continually developing and updating for the implementation of public art and directing resources toward the placement of public art throughout Conway. Each member shall demonstrate a positive interest in the field of art and will be willing to participate in board meetings, local community events, etc. The Public Art Board typically meet the second Wednesday @ 5:00 p.m. of each month.
